Fierce Comics Announces First Maniacal Smile Board Game

Guts of a Hero Board Game Brings The Maniacal Smile to the Tabletop Gaming Market

Fierce Comics today announced the March release of the company's first board game featuring The Maniacal Smile. The game, to be released at the Orlando MegaCon, is called Guts of a Hero. It takes players on a journey through the Maniacal Smile's intestines in a race to reach the "Deuce Bomb." Once there, players win the game by either detonating or defusing the explosive.

"Only in a Maniacal Smile game would you find players racing through a character's intestines to defuse a bomb," said Fierce Comics' Publisher Ben Filipiak. "We've taken special care to ensure that all of the unusual and fun aspects of the book loved by fans are retained in the game."

Rob Rhine, creator of The Maniacal Smile, said, "This is such a great product to usher in Smiley's 15th year of hilarity. Every drawing and every line of writing will ring true to the source material that keeps bringing our awesome fans back for more. We put extra stank on this one!"

Players can play as miniaturized versions of their favorite heroes and villains, including a Remote Maniacal Smile, Quadriplegic Man, Champanzee, and E.V.I.L. Robot. Additional playable characters will be available via expansion packs that also include unique dice, each of which is specifically intended to change the game play experience.

The game, and a limited number of pre-release expansion packs, will be available at the Orlando MegaCon, March 15th - 17th at the Orange County Convention Center.
