First 1Mbps OFDM PLC Modem Based on Prime, G3, G.hnem and IEEE 1901.2

Online, April 14, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Yitran will feature their full line of PLC networking technology at booth 701 during the upcoming Metering, Billing USA in Dallas, TX from April 19-20. Yitran's booth will show the IT700 legacy DCSK PLC solution, which has been installed in many AMR/AMM projects around the world. The booth will also feature Yitran's new generation IT900 DCSK Turbo, reaching speeds of up to 500Kbps, and the next generation IT1000 series. IT1000 is an OFDM flex PLC transceiver that implements different OFDM based standards such as Prime, G3, G.hnem and IEEE 1901.2.
The G.hnem standards - ITU-T G.9955 and G.9956 contain the physical layer specification and the data link layer specification, respectively, for narrowband OFDM power line communications transceivers. Those standards have been determined and consented in the last ITU WG15 meeting, and the IT1000 is the first solution supporting those specifications, providing cutting edge performance.
