Marketing agency kicks off 2019 with six new hires in the United States and Canada

Rick Bryson - Cargo's Associate Creative Director

Cargo, a leading North American business- to- small business (B2SB) marketing agency, is pleased to begin 2019 with the addition of six new roles to its operations in the U.S. and Canada. These new additions will support Cargo’s growing mandates with accounts such as Mercedes-Benz, RBC, and Lenovo.

“According to the US Small Business Administration, there are now nearly 30 million small businesses in the United States employing 47.8 percent of U.S. workers,” said Dan Gliatta, CEO, Cargo. “Our expertise is in helping big brands understand and connect with this lucrative market.”

Rick Bryson – Associate Creative Director

Rick Bryson joins the Cargo team as associate creative director and will be overseeing creative output from the Greenville, S.C. office. Mr. Bryson holds a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Western Carolina University and formerly acted as group creative director at Erwin Penland & Company. Mr. Bryson is a seasoned, award-winning creative professional with a strong concept, art direction, and design background who has worked at some big shops on major brands including: AT&T, Denny's, CNN, Zippo, Case Knives, Voya Financial, Ryobi, Chick-Fil-A, and Eaton.

Marc Del Vecchio – Visual Lead

Marc Del Vecchio joins Cargo’s Greenville office to serve as the Lenovo team’s design director and will be working hand in hand with the creative lead and associate creative director, ensuring all visual aspects of creative are on strategy and produced at a high level. Previously, Mr. Del Vecchio was the associate creative director at Erwin Penland & Company. Mr. Del Vecchio holds a master’s degree in graphic design from the Savannah College of Art & Design where he studied all aspects of design as well as advertising and marketing. He is a senior-level visual guru with deep, award-winning experience with creative direction, art direction and design, working on major brands including Verizon Wireless, Michelin, BMW, Milliken, and more. 

Colton Moritz – Graphic Designer

Colton Moritz joins Cargo’s Greenville office as a graphic designer responsible for concept and design on the agency’s Mercedes-Benz Vans team. Mr. Moritz attended school at University of South Carolina Upstate where he studied Art Studio with a focus in Graphic Design. Mr. Moritz brings young, new talent to the agency with strong conceptual thinking and a fresh design style.

Yash Phadnis – Data Analyst

Yash Phadnis joins the Cargo Greenville office to serve as a data analyst leading the charge of improving data collection and visualization models for Cargo’s clients’ marketing data. Mr. Phadnis earned his MBA from Clemson University where he focused on entrepreneurship. Mr. Phadnis brings substantial experience with simulation and forecasting modeling analysis which will provide valuable insights for the entire team.

Miki Velemirovich

Miki Velemirovich has been appointed as the president of Canadian operations for Cargo and will lead the team in the Toronto office. Mr. Velemirovich is an experienced marketing expert with over 20 years of big brand experience at companies such as Mercedes-Benz and IBM holding a master’s of business administration from Schulich School of Business with a specialization in marketing. Mr. Velemirovich will use his vast big business experience to lead and grow the business in Canada.

Nicolas Rouleau – Client Engagement Manager

Nicolas Rouleau joins the Toronto Cargo office as client engagement manager on the Mercedes-Benz Vans Canada account where he will lead the planning and implementation of all account campaigns. Previously, Mr. Rouleau acted as account supervisor and Canadian lead at Merkley and Partners on the Mercedes-Benz Vans Canada business. Prior to that, he worked at a Toronto-based, boutique agency where he served as the account lead on brands like Twitter, Damiva, Oaken Financial, and Toys’R’Us Canada. He brings extensive experience in working with big brands and has a large agency background.
