MMA Collective Introduces Iconic Cut-Man, Creed Actor, Jacob "Stitch" Duran as Company's Ambassador to Fighters

MMA COLLECTIVE

Personal brand advocate platform MMA Collective today announced a partnership deal with long-time combat sports icon Jacob “Stitch” Duran. Duran, a long-standing cut-man and key figure in both MMA and boxing, is one of the most recognizable faces in the industry today. Known for his iconic glasses, salt and pepper hair and broad mustache, Duran boasts one of the lengthiest tenures in his area of expertise.

Duran made news for his highly publicized critique of the UFC’s Reebok deal that mandates fighters wear Reebok uniforms and no longer allows for fighters to have their own sponsors. His hard-stance criticism of the deal, ultimately lead to his employment being terminated at the organization.

Duran shared the news in conjunction with this release via his website www.StitchDuran.com.

In all of my years in the fight business, I've never felt so much love. Fight fans are the best. Hands down. Or "hands up" as we like to say in the fight game. Along the way I've worked with the best of 'em, between the countless hours of preparation, the long tedious hours of travel, all the time away from home, it's all been worth it. I've made life-long friends, have worked alongside the best to ever do it, and continue to do and enjoy what I love.

I've always wanted to give back to the community that has given so much to me. I'm a cut-man by trade, but I'm here to do a lot more. I'm here to be the voice of those who need it most. Business is business, but when you've been blessed with so much, it's only right you give back. I'm not going to say any names, or talk bad about any particular organization today. Today, as I look toward the future, I can't help but smile. The fight game is changing dramatically, and it's on the individual to be versatile. I want to live in a world, better yet, I want to work in an industry, where fighters are given a fighting chance. I am forever grateful to Scott Coker for allowing me to join the Bellator MMA family. His bid of confidence means a lot to me. I was just as excited when I heard he loved the idea of MMA Collective.

In the next few months, the MMA Collective team is going to grow. We will provide a turn-key option for fight managers to set their fighters up for long term success well after they step in the ring for the last time. There are no egos here. If you want to better the sport, better the ideas. This is an idea I can get behind.

From a small farming town in Planada, CA, I've made a living making sure you're alright. I have always known that as my true calling, and I wouldn't have it any other way. That is what MMA Collective is all about.

Giving the fighters one more round,

Jacob “Stitch” Duran

MMA Collective Co-Founder Popeye Vasquez states, “We’re filling a huge void for fighters and their families. Fighters fight for a living and never really develop the practical business skills they can apply when it’s time to hang the gloves up. Maintaining a website, handling t-shirt sales, and staying on top of their social media accounts is a full time job and becomes more of a hardship for them. MMA Collective takes the hassle out of all of it and helps educate the fighters on the principles of reinforcing their brand through their digital assets.” Jason House, Principal and Founder of Iridium Sports Agency calls MMA Collective, “A blessing to the sport,” and adds, “What each and every one of my clients desperately needs.”

MMA Collective is already in the process of helping set up a few hundred fighters with websites, e-commerce capabilities, and social media support. In the next few months, they hope to make MMA Collective the leader in personal brand advocacy.
