Emily Chow, a Koshland Fellow and Hayward resident said, “With this scholarship we hope to close the income gap that affects our most vulnerable residents in Hayward -- including older workers, undocumented residents, and folks who could not afford to take classes due to financial and time constraints. We are excited to award this first round of scholarships.”

Hayward High School Guidance Counselor Molly Garahan shared, “So many people are excited about this scholarship. I review a lot of scholarships and it is very evident that this scholarship program was created here in Hayward, with our community’s needs in mind.”
