The Nose Knows the Way to Sip in Julian

Julian, CA, July 14, 2017 (Newswire.com) - On Saturday, August 5th, 2017, the Julian Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 3rd Annual ‘Sip of Julian’. Proof that Julian is not just about apples and great pie, the town’s growers, producers and purveyors of wine, craft beer, craft cocktails, and delicious hard cider, will be offering up a sampling of their delicious hand-crafted specialties for your pleasure. Joining the Sip of Julian this year are Julian CiderWorks, Julian Hard Cider, Menghini Winery, Nickel Beer Company, Orfila Winery, The Red Barn at Wynola Pizza & Bistro, and Volcan Mountain Winery. 

As in previous years, Sip of Julian runs from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and gives tasters time to enjoy their samples paired with small bites at each venue, take in the scenery, and spend a relaxing day enjoying the sights and sounds of Julian.

“Summer is a beautiful time in Julian and this event allows you to sample the region’s fine crafted beverages, taste gourmet bites, and explore the backcountry,” says Ed Glass, president of the Julian Chamber of Commerce.  “It’s a perfect excuse to book a quaint room and make it a weekend adventure!” 

Tickets are available in advance exclusively at Brown Paper Tickets (juliansip2017.brownpapertickets.com). Space is limited and, because past years have sold out, advance purchase is suggested. Tickets are $25.00 and limited to ages 21 and up only. Age verification, along with the distribution of maps and logo glasses begins at 10:00 a.m. the day of the event at the Julian Chamber of Commerce located at Town Hall, 2129 Main Street.  Shuttle service information can be found on the ticketing site. 

Sip of Julian is a fundraising benefit for Julian’s Annual Country Christmas and Tree Lighting Celebration happening Saturday, November 25^th, 2017.   This free annual event ushers in the holiday season with music, dancers, lighting the town Christmas tree and culminates with the arrival of Santa & Mrs. Claus to listen to all the kids Christmas wishes. 

Julian is a historic community located in the San Diego County Mountains at an elevation of 4200 feet.  Quaint shops and restaurants, unique bed and breakfasts, hotels, and lodges all welcome visitors to enjoy a getaway in the country.  The Sip of Julian is a great opportunity to spend a couple of nights in Julian and enjoy exploring the area the day before or after the event.
