Tony Award Nominee Sheryl Lee Ralph to Host July 4th Radio Special: Freedom - the Jazz Groove Special

Sheryl Lee Ralph

Hosted by actress, singer, author, activist and Tony Award nominee Sheryl Lee Ralph, Freedom – The Jazz Groove Special celebrates America's core values and their expression in American jazz. Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, Miles Davis, Diana Krall and many other artists tell the story of American freedom in the exuberant, utterly unique language of jazz. It's an indispensable, insightful and tuneful contribution to the July Fourth holiday.

Written by the jazz historian Burton Peretti, Freedom – The Jazz Groove Special is brought to life by gifted storyteller Sheryl Lee Ralph and sweetened with famous jazz recordings about liberty and the struggle for freedom. Freedom - The Jazz Groove Special airs on Wednesday, July 4, from 12-4 p.m. ET/PT on JazzGroove.org.

The Jazz Groove - a non-commercial, listener-supported jazz radio station with 225,000 unique monthly listeners - is a service of The Foundation To Advance Jazz whose mission is to expand the audience for jazz.
