Completion of a 9 month project to establish and provide Pipeline with direct voice termination to the Ghana PTT was completed in early November, announced Mike Price, VP of International Operations for Pipeline Telecom. Ghana Telecom is the largest in-country network provider representing coverage to over 73% of the telephone lines in Ghana. Pipeline's voice termination is transported via a Virtual Private Network (VPN) using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) from Pipeline's Florida based network to their Point-of-Presence (PoP) in Ghana, which is then relayed over a 100% TDM interconnect to Ghana Telecom. Voice coverage includes all land telephone lines and the counties 4 mobile operators.
