Self-Help Fantasy: Invaluable life lessons disguised as wizards and magic

The compelling saga of the world’s only magical kingdom continues in, “The Icon of Earth” (206 pages, ISBN: 978-1519201041) –book two of Demethius Jackson’s ‘Self-Help Fantasy’ series. This publishing comes after Jackson successfully Kickstarted ( http://bit.ly/1ks40rR) the project last May 2015.

‘Self-Help Fantasy’ is the term Jackson uses to describe his coming-of-age novels, which introduce invaluable life-lessons within a world of wizards and magic. In this second installment of The Realmsic Conquest book series (www.realmsic.com), the fictional kingdom of, the Realm, cannot celebrate peace. War ignites yet again when an advanced enemy invades them. During the attack, the Realmsic King is critically injured, which unleashes a power that will destroy the kingdom. Only the Icon of Earth – a candle that heals wounds when lit, can save him and the Realm.

Jackson’s previous novel, “The Hero of Legend”, (348 pages, ISBN: 978-1500596118) –was independently published in July 2014. After the series gained traction through Dallas-based fan expos such as Dallas ComicCon, he created a Kickstarter campaign to expand awareness of the new genre and promote literacy in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

ABOUT: Demethius Jackson is an alumnus of American University’s School of Communications in Washington, D.C. Throughout his career, he held positions at global media and cinema companies. In July 2010, he published his first book. Initially releasing ‘The Realmsic Conquest’ as a completely rhyming epic-adventure, he spent the following years expanding the story of the Realm at the request of fan-feedback.
