Fresh Online Literary Publication Promises Big Benefits for Writers

New Literary Publication, Pulchritude Press, is taking the online publishing world by storm this Labor Day unveiling comprehensive social accounts and a new website geared toward providing community, resources, and opportunities for budding and seasoned writers.

Today marks the launch of a brand new online literary publication by the name of Pulchritude Press.

The publication is aimed toward both budding and seasoned writers in the areas of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, drama, and reviews of books or films. The founders have expressed the desire to help talented writers get noticed and succeed in the field. The publication aims not only to be a source of publication for writers - both through contests and general submission - but also as a writerly hub. By offering tips and tricks, advice, feedback, and endorsement for contributing writers, Pulchritude Press hopes to serve the industry and make good use of what hopes to be a notable platform.

"What we're really trying to do - more than getting huge or becoming a big business - is to give back to a community of writers who deserve it. All too often we see, on this publication or that contest, that a writer must be published in order to get published. We understand exclusivity breeds excellence in some cases, but there's a large population of writers left out. We want to be that jumping-off point for writers who are published as well as those who are not. We want to use our background as marketing professionals to blast out quality writing and drive attention to skilled artists. This isn't about the movement of money. Our paid contests will drive incentive, this is certain, but writing has always been about more than that to so many artists. It's about more than that to us, too."

Upon their launch, Pulchritude already boasts several talented contributors across all aforementioned genres, as well as populated and thriving social media presence and an up-and-coming blog reel. The publication hopes to recruit additional writers through general submission as well as open contests. Writers whose submissions are accepted for publication are automatically granted their own Contributor's Page - a space to feature biographical information, prior publications, portfolio links, and more. Featured writers are promised even greater visibility through social posts, PR, and other exclusive networking opportunities.

Upon accessing the website (http://pulchritudepress.org),  visitors are greeted by a wave of indigo and camel coloring with a bokeh background plus plenty of text information and links to explore. Visitors can choose to read contributor content, browse tips and resources, or choose to contribute.

Digging further, visitors will discover more information on the background, mission, and future goals for the publication. Pulchritude's founders hope to move into the print sphere, speak or present at conferences, add features for visual art and video, as well as develop an NPO designed to give back to endeavors for literacy. There is even talk of developing a scholarship fund for talented writers.

Interested writers are encouraged to submit work to Pulchritude Press by following the guidelines provided in links on the site. Followers can also connect with Pulchritude via Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, or Tumblr.
