Recruitment Software Provider, Colleague.eu Sponsor UK Squash Tournament To Benefit Cancer Charities

Integrated recruitment software solutions specialist Colleague Software is sponsoring the UK Recruitment Squash Tournament happening in March 2012, in aid of four cancer research and awareness charitable organizations.

A 2011 global study conducted by The World Cancer Research Fund has placed the rate of cancer-stricken males from the United Kingdom at 33rd, with 280 reported cases in every 100,000 individuals. Collective number of UK female cancer sufferers, on the other hand, has landed on the 12th spot, with more than 260 reported cases per 100,000 females.

Compelled by these cancer statistics, people are realizing that awareness and action have become more crucial than ever. Various research groups, non-profits and other organizations are driven to stir a level of responsiveness among people, and various business sectors are extending support in every way possible.

Helping fight Cancer, Colleague.eu proudly announces its sponsorship of the UK Recruitment Squash Tournament, which is aimed at supporting Cancer Research UK as the prime charity; CLIC Sargent, MacMillan and Marie Curie. The four charity groups come with a common goal to fight cancer and advocate for its cure by spreading forth valuable information and pushing for research.

Will Minns, Managing Director of Colleague Software, adds: "I think the tournament is a fantastic idea and I am very happy to be supporting it. I look forward to seeing some stiff competition between many of our customers on the courts!"

The tournament, hosted by InterQuest Group plc, a leading IT staffing company in the UK that utilizes Colleague Software's recruitment solutions, will be open to recruitment companies from every sector in the UK. The finals will be played on the Glass Squash Court at Canary Wharf, March 2012, and will feature a champagne lunch reception.

Matt Crawcour, Business Development Director at InterQuest Group and former squash professional, came up with the idea of hosting an industry wide squash tournament.

"We're very excited about the tournament at InterQuest. It is a great way to bring a diverse range of recruiters together, have some fun and support some very worthy causes. We're very grateful for Colleague Software's support," Mr. Crawcour says.
