US Band Side FX Hits Australian Market Strong

Indie band Side FX has entered the Australian radio market with their newest single.

Only 8 weeks exposed to the Australian market and Side FX's newest single 'My Face is Shining is already climbing the popularity ladder. Added to 32 stations and featured on the National syndicate program 'Melomania,' Side FX is proving their boundaries do not stop at the US coastlines.

Side FX is an indie pop band from Washington, DC who has broken all the boundaries this year with five of the songs on their latest EP landing on the charts, three of which hit the coveted top 40 spots, which are typically reserved for the big label makers. "My Face is Shining,' still climbing at #31, 'A Dance,' landed #31 on Adult Top 40, 'Paradise' hit #31 on Adult Contemporary, 'Sexy Smile' hit #103 on Adult Top 40, and '3 Seconds' is still climbing up the radio chart ladder.

Their success this year also scored a major distribution deal with Morada Music who distributes to FYE, Best Buy, J & R Music, Coconuts, Sam Goody amongst others across the world.

Side FX was first introduced to the Aussie market this past summer when Moo Moo music began adding them to their regular playlists, which can be heard in Australia's club and restaurant scene. In September, 300 Entertainment asked for an exclusive agency signing with the group, hoping to bring them 'down under' for this year's summer festivals. With the now defunct 300 Entertainment agency, the band is hoping to secure a tour through other avenues.

"This album has been so exciting to write. It really has all of me in each and every song," says Kim Cameron. "And, Australia has always been on my list of places to see. I sure hope we can pull this off in 2012!"
