Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof LED Exit Sign, Emergency Battery Backup, 3-Hour Runtime
KEMP, Texas, February 20, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting sector, announced the release of an explosion proof LED exit sign with an emergency battery backup. This sign is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations and is equipped with a 1.1-watt LED lamp offering a 3-hour runtime and self-diagnostic system.
The EXP-EMG-EXT-LE6-1L-V3 explosion proof green and white LED exit sign features a traditional running man symbol providing a clear way to mark emergency exits. This sign uses normal external power under normal conditions and automatically switches to battery backup in a power outage or power interruption event for three hours or until power is restored. The emergency batter is a 3.6V NiCad rechargeable unit with a 15-year life expectancy with the ability to operate in temperatures between 0 degrees F to 113 degrees F.
Larson Electronics’ exit sign features a low voltage disconnect and is not factory sealed enabling operators to use their own seal and wiring to complete connects. This unit operates on 120/277V AC at 60Hz and has a 3/4" NPT wiring hub. This sign is easily mounted to flat surfaces either vertically or horizontally. This sign is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIB+H2; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G; and Class III hazardous locations.
