Northwest Arkansas Business of 62 Years Wins 'Business of the Quarter' Accolade

Barnett's Dairyette is Celebrating 62 Years of Operation and Recent 'Mid-Size Business of the Quarter' Win

Barnett’s Dairyette is celebrating 62-plus years of successful operation in the community and their recent recognition of "Mid-Size Business of the Quarter" determined by the Siloam Springs Chamber of Commerce. The restaurant provides frozen favorites and other traditional diner favorites in a casual, nostalgic environment.

Businesses are selected for the distinction of "Business of the Quarter" based on characteristics like community involvement, volunteering in the community and support for Siloam Springs community members, according to the Siloam Springs Chamber of Commerce.

Barnett’s Dairyette opened in June 1957 by founder Ervie Barnett. The Barnett family proudly operated the business across three generations until 2002. Jacob Frese, a longtime restaurateur and owner of several local restaurants, purchased Barnett’s Dairyette in 2017 and plans to lead the Barnett’s team with the goal of continuing the restaurant’s rich history in the community.

Barnett’s Dairyette is associated with ice cream cones, leisurely summer car rides and community spirit by many area residents and Frese intends to keep these memories alive by breathing fresh air into old traditions. One way the restaurant is achieving this is by hosting monthly cruise nights featuring motorcycles and antique cars. The next cruise night is scheduled for Sept. 7 and will feature Still Cruisin’, a local band which will provide classic 1960s tunes. One member of Still Cruisin’ is Ervie Barnett’s daughter and the Barnett’s team hopes that the event captures the essence of the restaurant’s long, storied history.

Barnett’s Dairyette offers frozen favorites like shakes, malts, sundaes, banana splits, ice cream cones and more in tasty flavors like banana, cherry, chocolate chip, hot fudge, butterscotch, hot caramel and more. The restaurant also offers savory options like burgers, chili burgers, chili cheese dogs, hot dogs, BLTs and more.

Barnett’s Dairyette is honored by the recognition of "Mid-Size Business of the Quarter" and thanks the Siloam Springs Chamber of Commerce and the Siloam Springs community for making it possible. The Barnett’s team is thrilled to be celebrating 62 years of dedicated service to the community and looks forward to another 62 years as a Siloam Springs staple.
