Ciara Byrne, a Fast Company contributor and former software developer, and Jennifer Kite-Powell, Forbes technology contributor and founder of Spilled INK, a boutique PR and Marketing agency acquired in 2014, founded the company to address the content and communications needs of highly technical companies.

Dylan Tweney, founder of Tweney Media and former editor-in-chief of Venturebeat, will work with FORGED as a project director in San Francisco. During Tweney’s tenure, VentureBeat’s audience more than quadrupled from 1.5 million to 6.5 million monthly visitors.

Forged co-founder Ciara Byrne is a former software developer and product manager who hopes that Forged will finally fuse her two careers. “Developers and engineers are craftsmen. Kite-Powell is the founder of boutique PR and marketing agency, SpilledINK. Eighty percent of international agency’s clients were acquired by listed companies or global tech brands including Google, Vodafone, Cisco and most recently, Primesense by Apple for $350 million. SpilledINK was founded in 2000 and acquired in 2014.
