Online, June 1, 2010 (Newswire.com) - LOS ANGELES, CA - Interlink and Astrovision Inc. have agreed in principal and are finalizing an agreement for the further development of the Interlink set-top box for video distribution and network streaming equipment for 2WayTV (teleconferencing). Astrovision developed video on demand and television viewing systems for large passenger airliners, which, as it turns out, provide television viewing and other services for about the same number of users as a middle-size multiple dwelling unit.
Interlink will deliver its video technology to the home and business led by an inexpensive basic television programming offering and adding 2WayTV, Internet access and Voice over IP services to the mix, for a grand slam play. Delivery of all of these services is designed for a standard broadband connection to the home or business.
Interlink will also look to Astrovision to support delivery of video and data over the Internet.. Integrating encoding and streaming with live feedback from the set top device to the Interlink head-end simplifies the end-user's interfaces and provides reliablilty and consistency to video viewing and 2WayTV experience.
