3 Steps To Getting Through TSA Security Faster!!

TSA security might be on high alert; however, you can get through the security check point faster!

It drives me crazy how unprepared travelers are when they go through TSA security. Going through security is not only annoying but it is also stressful! And with the recent terrorist scare of Northwest flight 253, you can be assured that security measures are going to be on high alert. The next time you are getting ready to go through TSA security, follow these 3 easy steps to get through quicker and reduce your stress:
1. Prepare BEFORE you reach the TSA security checkpoint. Find a spot just prior to getting to security to organize all the items you will need to get through security quickly.
A) First pull out your laptop, so you can hand carry it.
B) Make sure your quart sized bag with your 3 oz. liquids is handy, so that it is convenient to locate once you get to the security check point.
C) If you are gentleman or have a number of pocket items, carry a large Ziploc bag with you, in which you can put things like; pocket change, money clip, phone, keys, etc. in the bag and then place it in one of your carry-on's. This is just one less thing to deal with before going through the metal detector.

2. Untie or unzip your shoes BEFORE you get to the conveyor belt. The amount of time that is wasted and holds up the rest of the line from proceeding is all those people who do not plan ahead. Just prior to reaching the conveyor belt, make sure your shoes are untied or unzipped. This does not mean you have to take them off yet, rather, that you can EASILY slip out of them when you need to drop them in the TSA container. Also, if possible slip you coat off, so all you have to do is lay it in the bin.

3. Drop your stuff in the bins! Now that you are fully prepared, all you have left to do is drop your stuff in the TSA bins. It is simple; I drop your coat, your liquids bag, your lap top and finally slip off your shoes, stick them in a bin and your done.

These simple steps make it easier on you and everyone behind you. While TSA security measures are becoming stricter, you can ease through the check point by simply being prepared.
