Active Healthcare, Inc., is pleased to announce their third sponsorship of a new sleep apnea support group. The inaugural meeting of this support group will take place on Tues, March 8th from 5:30 to 7:00pm at Active Healthcare's Raleigh office.

Active Healthcare, Inc., an award-winning, locally owned medical equipment provider that has served thousands of patients over the last two decades, is pleased to announce their third sponsorship of a new sleep apnea support group, now in Raleigh. The inaugural meeting of this support group will take place on Tuesday, March 8th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at Active Healthcare's Raleigh office. Prior to the support group meeting there will be a mask fitting and equipment check clinic from 4:00 to 5:30 pm. Active Healthcare's sleep team helps obstructive sleep apnea patients manage their therapy through state-of-the art equipment, meaningful education and intense follow-up care. Lisa Feierstein, RN BSN, MBA, the founder and president, says, "Our team members are passionately dedicated to the care, education and quality of life of our patients, especially when we see how their lives are transformed with successful treatment."

Lisa Feierstein and her sleep team fulfill this mission by sponsoring A.W.A.K.E. (Alert, Well, and Keeping Energetic) Sleep Apnea support groups, promoted by the American Sleep Apnea Association. The meeting on March 8th will begin with a keynote speaker discussing, "Why and How to Talk to Your Primary Healthcare Provider About Your Sleep," followed by question and answer session with Active Healthcare's dedicated sleep specialists about the use of one's equipment, along with pressure and equipment checks, free sleep apnea screenings performed by our sister company, IntegraSleep, and displays of the newest equipment and masks from the major manufacturers. Refreshments will be served and a free gallon of distilled water will be distributed.

Active Healthcare has been sponsoring two successful sleep apnea support groups in Johnston County and in Durham County. These groups were started to help the many sleep apnea sufferers that were left without any support, and for those that know that they have sleeping issues and need a reliable place to gain more information. Active Healthcare's sleep team has found that these face-to-face support group meetings give individuals personal encouragement to empower healthy choices. The meetings also solidify commitment to patients' sleep apnea treatment while they help negotiate the healthcare maze so they can get their sleep issues resolved.

Positive responses from previous attendees run the gamut from, "I learned more about my sleep apnea in this hour then I have in the last five years of being on CPAP," to "... appreciated the active discussions, encouragement and knowing you are not alone," to "... enjoyed seeing all the new and improved equipment and masks!"

With their corporate office located in Raleigh, Active Healthcare has five additional satellite offices to serve their customers across the Triangle including Cary, Durham/Chapel Hill, Smithfield, Clayton, and Wake Forest. Their IntegraSleep labs provide patients with a full range of sleep testing to diagnose sleep disorders with locations in Raleigh, Clayton and Smithfield.

The inaugural Raleigh Sleep Apnea support group, A.W.A.K.E. in Wake, will be held Tuesday, March 8, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at Active Healthcare's Raleigh office (9104 Falls of Neuse Road, Suite 100), preceded by a mask fitting and equipment check clinic from 4:00 to 5:30 pm.
