Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders is the new spin-off of the venerable television series Criminal Minds and will premiere its first episode on March 16th. Garrett leads a team of exceptional agents dedicated to safely returning U.S. residents home by profiling and identifying criminals who are beyond our borders.
Dildine is chasing a dream that brought him to Hollywood in August ‘07 to pursue a second career in acting. A dream that started over 20 years ago but was put aside to raise a family and care for an elderly mother. Dildine still maintains a house in Hammond where his daughter and wife Robin lives.
Dildine’s acting bug was rekindled when Oliver Stone came to Hammond to film scenes for Natural Born Killers. He spent three days at Statesville prison working as a Background Actor and ended up in the final cut with Tommy Lee Jones and Tom Sizemore.
Dildine spent the next few years doing Background in over a dozen films and TV shows. He started performing in local theater productions in Hammond and graduated to The Lyric Opera in Chicago. Dildine even played Mr. Miyagi in a musical parody of The Karate Kid. He took classes at Second City Training Center and Chicago was where Dildine became a professional actor. He booked his first SAG commercial on the first audition his first agent sent him on.
Dildine is also a connoisseur of Malt Whisky, collector of Scotch from shuttered distilleries, and a member of the LA Scotch Club. Dildine was also politically active back in the 80s and ran twice for Councilman-at-large in his hometown of Hammond.
