Apple Updates Mac Book With Retina Display
Online, June 29, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Unveiling the new models of Mac Books- Mac Book Pro and Mac Book Air, along with a list of other products and applications, yesterday in the Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference, Tim Cook, the new Apple CEO announced that its new laptop versions, the Mac Book Pro and Mac Book Air will sport a slimmer, lighter body along with its latest and third generation Intel Core processors-'Ivy Bridge' installed in it. Another fresh feature that the devices will encompass is its high resolution retina display of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels. The devices have also gone through a drastic change in their hardware implementation with 4000 HD Intel processor graphics, dual 3.0 USB ports, and a 720p FaceTime HD camera.
According to an Apple source, the Mac Pro has a display screen of 15.4-inches with a resolution of 220 pixels per inch. This is the highest ever resolution notebook displays, exceeding the pixel count of iPad in the ratio of 16:10. However, the device can sport even higher contrast ratios at times with IPS technology that reduces the glare up to 75 %, even though it's a glossy screen. The source also revealed that the retina display of the device can work along with a host of other Apple applications like, Mail, Safari, and iPhoto along with a library of third-party applications, just like that of the third generation iPad.
However, the prices of the new Retina Display MacBook Pro vary depending upon its hardware. The Mac Book Pro with 2.3 GHz quad i7 core processor, 8GB 1,600MHz RAM, 256GB of flash storage, and Nvidia GeForce GT 650M graphics is worth $2,199, while the other version with sporting 2.6GHz processor with an extended flash storage to 512GB costs $2,799.
This new ultra-portable Mac book not only prioritizes its performance, but also its overall look and functions, saying a lot about the company's efforts to improve the style of 15-inch Mac Book Air.
