Father's day being a few days away, Scott Washburn, author of 'The Best Bear Hugs Ever,' is looking to get hugs back in the news.

Hugs have made the news in the last couple years. There was President Obama receiving a bear hug from restaurant owner Scott Van Duzer and Lebron James giving Michael Drysch a bear hug after hitting a half-court basketball shot. We have also had the opportunity to watch heart felt hugs from returning soldiers surprising their family members. Now, author Scott Washburn has released a book about hugs; more specifically, about 'The Best Bear Hugs Ever.'

In 'The Best Bear Hugs Ever,' a parent journeys to the zoo searching for the best bear hugs ever. While on his way to see the bears for the best bear hugs ever, the parent runs into other animals which all tell the parent that he does not need to see the bears because they know who gives the best bear hugs ever. With each animal's answer slightly different, the question is, will you agree with the author's final judgment for who gives the best bear hugs ever?

Scott Washburn has a degree in Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. After graduating, Washburn worked in the landscape architecture field for about seven years. Then he taught Computer-Aided Drafting. Washburn is a stay at home dad with two kids and tries to be the best father and husband he can be.
