Author Questions What Will Happen if Religion Falls by the Wayside in New Release, Samson: The Modern Day America

Is America doomed if it does not return to its foundational values based on worship and service to God? First-time author, Stephen Ray Williams, explores that very question in his new cautionary tale, Samson: The Modern Day America. The 102-page book, which is published by Global Summit House, recounts the rise and fall of Samson, a figure in the Hebrew Bible who possessed great faith and physical strength and compares that side-by-side with the history of America.

"The paths of Samson and the United States are so similar in nature that we cannot help but learn an invaluable lesson by analyzing the two more closely. Samson was born to a life of service to the Lord and was destined to lead the Philistines. Likewise, the United States was formed as a place of religious freedom and trust in God," said Williams. "Through time, both Samson and America procured enviable power. However, Samson's vulnerabilities led to a path of destruction. If American does not make drastic changes, will it realize the same demise?"

Williams is a retired electrician who says he was born again at age 10. His aptitude for math and analytics led to a teaching role at just 11 years old and he went on to discover three unique math formulas – one of which is copyrighted. When he was 13, he won a chess trophy in the Junior division and at age 14, won third place in a science fair with a Magic Math Square that, at the time, was the unofficial largest Magic Math Square. He is also a musician, songwriter, square dancer, and award-winning poet whose poems were published in eight books – two of which went international. He turned one of those poems into a song and it became a national release. He also won four trophies for writing poems over the years about his cat, Tiger Ray.

Williams said those innate skills helped with the writing of Samson as it required significant research of both American history and Biblical scriptures. And his faith compelled him to spread a message of forewarning as well as hope to the general public.

"I wholeheartedly believe that if Americans do not get back to God's way and put God back in our lives, we will fast see the erosion of the way of life we hold dear and the human condition overall. It's time to repent and turn back to God. This book will show through comparison and contrast that we have already been alerted to this," stressed Williams.

Samson: The Modern Day America by Stephen Ray Williams is available for Kindle and Nook and in paperback and hardcover on Amazon and at Barnes & Noble.
