Black Book Predicts ITO Infrastructure Industry to Soar Post-recession

The $524 Billion IT Infrastructure Management Services industry manages and enterprises core IT systems, including hardware, software, connectivity and people -- could become as important as the Application Development and Maintenance and Business Process Offshoring industries that have dominated the rise of offshoring in the last decade. The Infrastructure outsourcing industry is moving towards a remote delivery model, services are increasing delivery by vendors and captives from low-cost locations.

Key Findings:     ITO Infrastructure vendor satisfaction is the highest among mid-market vendors

    Large buyers (above US$10 billion in revenue) now account for 55% of the deals signed by offshore suppliers

    Latin American alternatives are challenging Indian infrastructure vendors as they evolve, although two vendors, HCL and TCS are commanding market growth share and commanding global user respect.

HCL Technologies captured the #1 overall ranking in ITO Infrastructure Vendors for the 2009 survey. Capgemini, T Systems, Oracle Sun, Tata Consultancy Services, Fujitsu, EDS Hewlett Packard, Ciber, Wipro Infocrossing, and IBM Global completed the top ten client experience ranked vendors.

Over 120,000 individuals are invited to participate in the surveys including C officers of the Fortune 2000, Inc 500, institutional members and officers of various professional organizations, subscribers of our media partners and previously validated survey participants. Non-invitation receiving participants must complete a verifiable profile, utilize valid corporate email address and are then included as well. Over 24,000 users were validated in the 2009 ranking process.
