Bobby Martyna says that founding a company is one of the most difficult things a hopeful entrepreneur can undertake. Having started several companies, Bobby Martyna offers some advice about what he's found to be the most difficult challenges for startups.

Denver, Colorado (January 5, 2010) - From Bobby Martyna's perspective, everyone has ideas, dreams and visions about how the world could be a better place -- a new product, a new service, a new way of doing things. But most ideas are not pursued for a number of reasons - perhaps that individual has no time, no money, or has never done it before.

Mostly, Bobby Martyna believes that the reason these dreams aren't pursued is that people are either "comfortable enough" with the status quo or they are not natural risk takers. The risk-to-reward ratio is too high for them to take action.

Bobby Martyna frequently asks his acquaintances the question, "How many times have you had what you thought was a great idea, ran it past a few friends who may have loved it, but then you let it die -- only to stand on the sidelines, watching someone else who came up with a similar idea and made it a success?" If you're like Bobby Martyna, the answer is "too many times". Ask yourself, was it laziness, lack of confidence, or perhaps fear? Bobby Martyna suggests that it may have been that life was simply comfortable enough the way it was.

Bobby Martyna likes to say that chances are high that the other person who ran with your idea wasn't any brighter than you, he or she just decided that the idea was too important, too powerful and too compelling to let it slide. That belief is what propelled him or her to "go for it" with a "no turning back" sense of purpose and commitment to make it succeed.

Becoming a seasoned entrepreneur, first and foremost, involves possessing a strong, inner core belief in an idea and a passionate, undying willingness to pursue it, continues Bobby Martyna. If you have this kind of passion, then it's a simple matter of taking the first step. That initial step doesn't have to mean quitting your "day job", in fact Bobby Martyna strongly recommends against that in the early stages. It could be as simple as writing down your vision and reviewing it with some friends. Bobby Martyna is amazed at how many people have very good ideas, but they've never even taken the time to write them down.

If you sit down with Bobby Martyna and talk about this subject he will look you right in the eye and ask, "Are you serious enough to take a basic first step? If not, then just move on, get in your car, go back to your cubicle and read your e-mails.
But if you are committed to pursuing your dream, then in Bobby Martyna's experience, once you can capture your idea and put it down in writing, then great things are poised to begin!
