CARE Counseling is proud to announce their American Psychological Association (APA) accreditation for their trainings, which coincides with their award for Best Places to Work in the Star Tribune and obtaining Rule 29 certification, all while maintaining same-week availability for clients wanting one-hour talk therapy.

First, the certification from the APA gives CARE Counseling the ability to provide APA approved continuing education for psychologists. Notably, CARE is the only mental health outpatient clinic in Minnesota that is an APA Approved Sponsor of Continuing Education (CE). At CARE, the mission is "Building a Community to Strengthen the Community," by providing a clinical environment that embraces learning, professional growth, and a high standard of training. CARE's training platform offers greater accessibility for their clinicians to receive quality accredited CE training, to support them in providing excellent care to the community. Clinicians can access CARE Counseling's trainings at www.CAREcounselingVault.com

The next announcement from the Star Tribune as CARE was recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Minnesota, ranking No. 29 in the small business. John Hutchinson, COO, points out the importance of offering great pay, a beautiful environment to work in, and providing opportunities for people to create deep relationships with one another. "There's an average fifty percent turnover across agencies, and fifty-five to sixty percent of providers leave the profession within five years," John says. "The people who are consolidating the industry don't seem to care about the providers. We want to do it differently." CARE Counseling not only ensures strong pay for providers to have a good quality of life, but they invest heavily in training.

Finally, CARE Counseling is happy to announce that they are now licensed as a Rule 29, Community Mental Health Clinic. Rule 29 establishes standards of care within an agency to ensure that the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental illness are the main purposes of the center. A community mental health clinic is an agency which devotes its resources to outpatient mental health diagnosis, treatment, and consultation by a multidisciplinary professional mental health team. The professional mental health team is qualified by special mental health training (now APA accredited) and experience which gives clients access to a variety of mental health. CARE Counseling is proud to provide outpatient mental health services to the community as a superior qualified mental health clinic.
