On Wednesday December 1, 2010, the Recording Academy nominated DJ/Producer Mike Rizzo for Best Remixed Recording for the track "Orpheus" (Quiet Carnival) (Funk Generation Mix), remixer (Sergio Mendes). This is Mike Rizzo's first Grammy nomination. "I can't tell you how excited and blessed I'm feeling right now. I couldn't have done this without the support of my wife Michelle and family, the Funk Generation team, Josh Harris and Mr.Mig and of course my fans" says Rizzo of his nomination. "I am honored and grateful that the Grammy Committee noticed and acknowledged our hard work."

Mike Rizzo has been hypnotizing us with his sounds and remixes for the last 20 years and has taken his talents internationally, including an Asia tour which included spinning in Beijing and Singapore. Rizzo has also had 30 Billboard #1 remixes, including Tamia's "Stranger In My House" which went on to be WKTU's #1 song that year. Aside from lending his talents as writer/producer and remixer, Rizzo also spreads his sounds through nationally broadcast mixed shows, including the Hollywood Hamilton Remix Top 30 (USRN) and Music Choice TV.

Some of Mike Rizzo's current projects include, Beyonce ft Lady Gaga "Video Phone, "Raise Your Glass", Pink, Alyssa Rubino's first single, "Keep on Dancing" and also working with Latin star, Mayra Veronica.
