Glutenfreaks.net was born out of a need to build a community of gluten-free persons like myself who understand what it means to be gluten free.

So often I've felt like a "freak" of nature because of the wide-eyed looks I'm met with when I tell people "yah, no regular bread...yah, no regular pasta, cookies, pies...nothing with wheat, barley, rye, some oats...blah. Ugh. One thing I have noticed is that I'm always excited when I meet someone else who is gluten free. We already know so much about one another because of the day to day struggle we share. It is like we've known one another for years! It is a funny thing. We need one other and a place where we can go to for sharing our experiences, our concerns, newest information, and of course recipes.
