Assurance provided by CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP in Accordance with Attestation Standards Established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
Scottsdale, AZ, December 14, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Computer Guidance Corporation, a leading developer of ERP software solutions for the construction industry, announced today the successful completion of a Report on Controls at a Service Organization Relevant to Security, Availability and Confidentiality that provides assurance that controls specific to managed hosted services were suitably designed and operated effectively during the period from October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016. The engagement was performed based on the Service Organization Controls (SOC) 2, as defined by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Audit.
The completion of the SOC engagement resulted in the issuance of an unqualified opinion by the audit firm, CliftonLarsonAllen LLP as of November 29, 2016. The auditors’ opinion provides assurance to users of Computer Guidance Corporation’s Cloud-based Hosted eCMS ERP Solution that, as a result of rigorous testing, controls related to the security and availability of systems and protection of data were in compliance with design for the engagement period based on control objectives defined by management.
“Computer Guidance Corporation’s commitment to strong internal controls in regard to their cloud-based hosted system solutions and services is evident in this report. Computer Guidance Corporation’s cloud-based hosted eCMS ERP system solutions and services as well as the data center environments have met the requirements of a SOC audit as it is established by the AICPA,” stated Mark Eich, Partner In Charge of Information Security Services, CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP. “The successful completion of this audit is a testament to CGC’s integrity, accountability, and its commitment to its clients and its customers can be confident that controls described within the report are accurately depicted and were operating as represented during the engagement period.”
The audit reviewed several processes and procedures and system functionality that have been implemented by Computer Guidance to proactively manage the technical environment that hosts the eCMS system, including the relationship with Avnet and associated data centers.
“This is our fifth SOC audit and we are pleased to state that Computer Guidance cloud-based hosted eCMS ERP system, associated managed hosting services and data centers have once again successfully passed the SOC audit. This accomplishment demonstrates our continued commitment year after year to conform to best practices in support of our customers’ technology solution and services' needs,” stated Mike Bihlmeier, President, Computer Guidance Corporation. “We will continue making any investments necessary such as SOC 2 Type II Audit to assure that our solutions and customer service offerings are backed by sound business processes, effective internal controls and high standards of data security. As a result of this audit, we are also to provide our customers with greater insights into our controls, procedures and systems for our hosting solution.”
