Shelley's "Why" for selling Thirty-one.

Welcome to my little corner of Thirty One! Let me tell you a little about my "Why"... In August 2009, I asked a friend if she thought I should sell Thirty One. I'm so glad she replied yes. I was a little bit down at the time and really needed some "pretty" in my life. My husband had been "downsized" and it seemed so many things were not going well at the same time. I was already working two jobs to help keep us afloat. My first job had me getting up every morning at 3:50am. This enabled me to work a small morning shift and then begin my other job at 9am every morning. I needed to keep my nights free as my school age son was really struggling in school and needed a lot of additional help. A Mom does what a Mom has to do, right? For the first five months, I truly enjoyed selling Thirty One. I thought of it as a hobby until I met my teammates at my Director's team meeting. That was my light bulb moment! Why was I not applying my skills to work this opportunity like a real job?! A real opportunity! I went home armed with some "baby steps" and in a few short months, I promoted to Director.

I am still amazed and so proud to say that on my year anniversary with Thirty One, I was able to quit not one but both of my other jobs. By the end of 2010, I promoted to Executive Director. In December of 2011 with the support of my incredible team, I was promoted to Senior Executive Director, the highest level of Leadership with Thirty One Gifts. I now fully support our family so that my husband can pursue a line of work he loves, I pay for tuition and services for my son and have an incredible downline of over 700 women across the US!
