Curtis Bay TakeLessons Instructor Leads Students to "Golden Musical Path"
Online, December 2, 2011 (Newswire.com) - With the release of the 2012 Grammy nominations this week, fans, journalists and critics alike are sounding off on who should win and who was snubbed this year. For musicians just starting to learn a new instrument, a Grammy nomination may seem like a dream. But TakeLessons (http://takelessons.com), the nation's fastest growing private music lessons provider, believes that no music goal is too far-fetched.
In response to student demand, and in continuation with their commitment to helping students of all ages and levels reach their goals, TakeLessons recently announced a new hire in Curtis Bay, MD.
John M. will be teaching guitar, piano, singing, music theory, percussion, saxophone and trumpet to students of all ages throughout the Curtis Bay area. John will be an excellent addition to the TakeLessons roster, which features instructors nationwide who have gone through a 7-step certification process.
After receiving his Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Salisbury University, John was a full-time traveling musician for 20 years, touring with several top forty, country and lounge acts. His genre specialties include blues, jazz, rock, country and classical.
"If a student does their required practice, within 3 to 6 months you should begin to see that 'golden musical path'," said new teacher John, "meaning you will be able to reach your notes accurately, recognize basic hearing exercises, and understand a little about the style of music you are interested in learning."
TakeLessons takes students beyond just music lessons and offers a comprehensive user experience, with a personal online account to track scheduling, billing, and lesson journals all in one place. Current students have 24/7 access to their online accounts, and can connect with Student Counselors if they ever want to switch instructors or their lesson schedule.
Since its launch in 2006, TakeLessons has helped students pursue their passion for music by offering over 35 types of private music lessons that are taught by some of the nation's most talented local music instructors. The hiring of a new Curtis Bay music teacher adds to TakeLessons' emerging presence in the state of Maryland, with lessons offered in Glen Burnie, Annapolis, and Ellicott City, as well.
