D.R. Horton unveils major new master-planned community near Silicon Slopes in Lehi

D.R. Horton's Salt Lake City Division will begin selling homes in its new Lehi master-planned community, Inverness, starting in early 2025. The multi-phase luxury project comprises approximately 1,200 acres of land near the Silicon Slopes Business District. Inverness sits on a south-facing bench north of the Timpanogos Highway, about two and a half miles from Interstate 15. Located at 174 W. Skara Brae Blvd., Inverness also features a 22-acre site for the recently announced Lehi Utah Temple and a meetinghouse for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Inverness is adjacent to Viewpoint Middle School and Belmont Elementary School, as well as a fabrication plant being developed by Texas Instruments.

"Inverness will feature new luxury homes with big windows designed to highlight the views of the Wasatch Mountains, Utah Valley and Utah Lake," said D.R. Horton Utah Division President Boyd Martin.

"The views are incredible and the location is unbeatable," said Martin. "We're building an amenity-packed community close to schools, shopping, businesses and healthcare. This is a one-of-a kind opportunity to buy a new luxury home built on some of the valley's best land."

The first phases of Inverness will feature single-family and twin homes, with plans for townhomes, cottages and an active adult community in future phases. A homeowners' association is anticipated to maintain the landscaping for the townhomes and common areas.

Inverness amenities are planned to include multiple pools, a splash pad and a clubhouse as well as pickleball and basketball courts, community playgrounds, a terra park, cornhole plaza and an amphitheater for performances. Inverness will have miles of paved trails and mountain biking trails and offers access to Utah's Bonneville Shoreline Trail. The master-planned community is named after a city in the Scottish Highlands known for its walkability and charm.

"Inverness is the culmination of extensive, careful planning to help homebuyers find their dream home in one of Utah Valley's best locations," said Martin. "We want to show everyone why D.R. Horton's emphasis on quality, value and customer service has made us the number-one builder by volume both in the state and the nation."
