Dan Pastorini And Kathleen Gati Star In Hollywood's First Interactive Film: Funny Movie

Hollywood's FIRST INTERACTIVE FILM where you pick the actors and the script. You can even audition - anyone can submit!!

Starting actors include Dan Pastorini (former Pro Bowl NFL quarterback, Hall of Famer, drag racer) and Kathleen Gati of General Hospital, Desperate Housewives and Meet the Fockers fame. Music set and soundtrack include Huey Lewis and the News, and other talented musicians from around the world.

Here's how it works: Through Kickstarter.com people interested in being cast in the movie receive instructions on what should go in their audition videos and where to upload them. Anyone from around the globe, any race, gender or age can audition for FUNNY MOVIE. Unlike a live audition where you only get one shot at it, FUNNY MOVIE hopefuls can practice as much as they need to, to get it perfect before they submit. Then Kickstarter supporters give their opinion on the audition tapes and the actors they like the best, helping to pick the rest of the cast. They can even submit their own audition tapes! Just like a live audition, may the best funny actors win!

As far as the content and script go, Kickstarter.com supporters will pick their favorite jokes from among the 850 in Will Stark's book entitled "The World's Funniest & Greatest Emails" that they would like to see in the film. Then they will vote for their 10 favorites. The top 30 will get produced into shorts which will be combined to make a full-length feature film, similar to the way "Scary Movie" is put together as a bunch of shorts.

FUNNY MOVIE is using the crowd funding site, Kickstarter.com to raise the money necessary to produce the film. Supporters receive great rewards, experiences, and really cool movie related products in return for helping out monetarily by pledging small (or not so small) amounts of money.

Some of the pledge rewards include mention in the movie credits, FUNNY MOVIE t-shirts, copies of the book and script, downloads of the film and soundtrack, web-cam access to watch the filming process, a sleek looking Director's Chair with the FUNNY MOVIE logo on it, dinner on the town with the producers, invitations to the filming launch party with the cast (including those chosen from their audition videos) and crew of FUNNY MOVIE, invitations to the premier, and a 3-night stay at a 5-star hotel in Beverly Hills or Hollywood.

They are calling this the "American Idol" for film, but instead of being on TV with only one chance to audition and only one winner, it's on the Internet with as many tries as a hopeful needs, and room for many actors! This movie is sure to cause a frenzy around the world, as up-and-coming actors and actor wanna-be's come out of the woodwork to get their chance at Hollywood!
