Dance the Night Away in Golden, Colorado to Benefit The WilLiv Center -- Helping Local Single Moms and Their Kids -- Friday, December 4th

Dance fundraiser, Friday, December 4th at the Buffalo Rose in Golden, Colorado to benefit The WilLiv Center, a non-profit helping local single moms and their kids. Event tickets are now available and sponsorships/silent auction item donations needed.

GOLDEN, CO -- Following the Golden Chamber of Commerce candlelight walk on Friday, December 4, there will be a dance at the Buffalo Rose to benefit The WilLiv Center. Based in Lakewood, Colorado, The WilLiv Center is a non-profit organization helping single mothers and their children lead healthy, productive lives during and after divorce.

The dance starts at 7 p.m. and the Jim Hyatt Band will perform. A silent auction will take place in addition to the entertainment. Tickets to the event are $40 per person or $70 per couple. The Buffalo Rose is located at 1119 Washington Avenue in Golden.

"This is an annual fundraiser for our organization," says Marla Swanson, founder and CEO of The WilLiv Center. "We're looking forward to a good crowd at this year's dance. Our goal is to raise $10,000 and we're looking for companies to sponsor the event. We also need item donations for our silent auction."

The WilLiv Center was founded in 2007 by Swanson. She says, "It's been my dream for many years to be able to assist other women who end up in a desperate situation and need a helping hand." To date, The WilLiv Center has helped more than 50 women in the local community. There is a waiting list of women awaiting services from The WilLiv Center. Swanson adds, "The WilLiv Center provides support in any way we can to prevent these women and their children from spiraling downward emotionally and financially. We can provide guidance, but, unfortunately, the funds we need to help everyone are just not there at this time." Swanson is hoping the December 4th dance fundraiser will allow The WilLiv Center to help more Colorado women in Jefferson, Denver, Arapahoe and Douglas counties.
