Daylight Detox and Recovery Announces It Now Provides Medication Assistance Treatment

Daylight Detox is proud to offer a full spectrum Medication Assisted Treatment program — unlike other programs that take clients suffering from opioid addiction off of medication shown to rebuild and reconstruct brain function which significantly lowers the chance of relapse.

Daylight Detox and Recovery is now offering medication-assisted treatment also known as MAT. What is a MAT treatment program?  A treatment program incorporating MAT uses medications such as buprenorphine throughout the treatment process. Daylight offers both short-term and long-term tapers, usually for two to six months for long-term and one to two weeks for short-term.

When a client arrives at Daylight Detox, they are seen by medical staff to assess the level of withdrawal and medical necessities. From there the client is assigned a therapist and gets settled into Daylight’s welcoming accommodations. After the client has had time to start feeling better and are regulated properly on their medications they will start their treatment program.

The treatment at Daylight Detox and Recovery is extensive and individualized. One on One sessions with master level therapists and gender-specific group therapy are both given. The music therapy offers the clients a chance to express themselves by writing music and playing various instruments. Art therapy offers a relaxing environment where the clients can work together on projects or individually where they are taught how to draw and paint. The trauma therapy, which dives into sexual, physical and mental trauma is done in a one on one setting and is a crucial part of the recovery process. Cognitive behavioral therapy which is also applied is useful in altering brain patterns and is an evidence-based treatment approach.

After 30 days, besides receiving amazing therapy, the clients receive a long range of other services. Including but not limited to: case management, resume writing, court liaison programs and food stamp assistance. Weekly activities are planned including the movies, bowling, the beach, volleyball tournaments and BBQs are all things a client can look forward to while they’re at Daylight Detox and Recovery Centers. Throughout this time the patients, if they haven’t already, can choose to stay on or continue weening off the maintenance program. They will consult their therapist and the nurses on this issue so they can choose what is right for them. Daylight Detox and Recovery also offers job placement.

Daylight Detox is pioneering the efforts to combat this opiate epidemic with strategies that are new, effective and lifesaving. Daylight Detox and Recovery is now offering their services nationally.
