Dell Appoints Richard Teo as New President for Philippine Operations
Online, August 17, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Dell (NASDAQ: DELL) announced today the appointment of Richard Teo as President to lead the operations of its Philippine office. He will lead the CSMB (Consumer, Small and Medium Business) Customer Services, which is responsible for providing both technical and non-technical support to customers in the US.
Announcing the appointment, Tim Griffin, Global Vice President, Consumer, Small and Medium Business, Dell Services & Solutions, said, "Richard has remarkable knowledge and experience in building a top-notch team for the services group. Teo is a 25-year industry veteran who has served with multinationals in customer care and services management roles.
At Dell since 2003, Teo has held key positions including APJ Enterprise Services Director based in Singapore where he drove service quality improvements and established state-of-the-art Command Centers in several cities. He later went on to lead Dell's offshore contact center in Dalian, China, before heading to Tokyo to lead all technical support services operations for Dell Japan and Korea. Prior to assuming his current position, Teo was APJ Services General Manager, CSMB, based out of Dell's Singapore office.
In all his roles, Teo significantly improved Customer Experience (CE) scores which saw Dell winning several industry awards for excellent customer service.
Teo graduated with a 1st class honor BSc in Computer & Microprocessor Systems from the University of Essex (UK) in 1987. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Singapore Management Institute (1990).
