DOCTARYN Releases Debut Album Conundrum 8/10/2011

Online, August 2, 2011 (Newswire.com) - New Chicago Indie rock artist DOCTARYN will release her debut CD Conundrum, on August 10th, 2011 via Interscope Digital Distribution. Containing six tracks: Her singles, Be The One, and Give Me A Hint and Hell Hath No Fury are receiving airplay across the country and globally. The CD was recorded at Sonic Palace studios, In Oak Park, Illinois with Producer, Matt Mercado of SuperMercado fame. a schedule of Chicago shows to be performed with her new live band and to promote the Conundrum release will be announced shortly.

DOCTARYN will begin recording her second release in the fall, and she is now in the process of completing the creative work on a third. Her major influences are Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Nirvana, PJ Harvey and others.

A victim of life long stage fright, this journey is the start of an intricate road for DOCTARYN, songwriter, performer, and composer. Taryn plays all the instruments on the album except for bass which was played by producer, Matt Mercado at Sonic Palace.

DOCTARYN is a long time musician and composer based in the Chicago area, who is largely self taught and began by writing instrumental scores. This album is her first foray into the indie rock genre. Critical acclaim has been forthcoming quickly with features in Top Acoustic songs, NeuFuture, Under the Cover and more publications and blogs planned.
DOCTARYN, also known as Taryn DeCicco began teaching herself piano at age 3, and guitar at age 23. Taryn is a long time musician and composer for commercial and indie interests. This release is her debut in the indie alternative rock genres. DOCTARYN will tour Chicago and other Midwest cities this fall, with a national tour planned for 2012.
