Dr. David Reznik Has Been Recognized Among the Top in His Industry by the Expert Network©

With 30 years dedicated to dentistry, Reznik brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry and, in particular, to his focus on treating patients with HIV/AIDS. When asked what lead him to helping this traditionally under-served population, Reznik said:

"There was a huge unmet need. No one would take care of this patient population. Someone had to deal with it, and considering that my mother survived the Holocaust, it has always been clear to me that discrimination based on anything, including a diseased status, is not acceptable."

As a leader in his industry, Reznik has built a reputation as a pioneer in providing dental service to under-served HIV/AIDS patients. In 1997, Dr. Reznik helped found the organization HIVdent, a not-for-profit coalition of concerned health care professionals committed to assuring access to high quality oral health care services for adults, adolescents, and children living with HIV/AIDS. While acting as a contributing member to a large number of Dental and Medical organizations, he has also recently helped launch the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Program through the Lutheran Medical Center, which aims to expand the Grady Health System’s reach to serve more uninsured and under-insured people in his community. Dr. Reznik is a contributing member to a number of organizations, including the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, the American Association of Dental Research, the International Association of Dental Research, and the National Association of Dental Research. He has published reports in over twenty medical journals, and is involved in a number of philanthropic organizations.

In 2004, Reznik received the Award of Merit from the National Dental Association. He also received the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) HIV/AIDS Bureau award in 2008 for his career's achievements.
