Ellechor Publishing House Launches Avant-Garde Writing Contest

Publishing House Issues Open Call for Submissions for Next Published Author

Portland, OR. - Ellechor Publishing House, the publishing platform for Christian fiction and non-fiction literature, announces its 2010 Avant-Garde Writing Contest. Three winners will be selected and showcased at the 2011 Christian Literature Convention and Luncheon in Atlanta, GA. The Grand Prize winner will be flown to the convention and will receive a publishing contract courtesy of Ellechor Publishing House.

The Avante-Garde Manuscript Contest is for unpublished fiction of a Christian and/or Inspirational nature. Avant-garde represents a pushing of the boundaries of what is accepted as the norm or the status quo, primarily in the cultural realm. "This year we will be looking for the most innovative, thought provoking, and post-modern telling of a story in the Bible." says Rochelle Carter, CEO of Ellechor. "It can be based on a short parable or a whole book in the Bible, but the challenge is to also remain as true to the story and its message as possible."

From now until October's end, writers from the all over the nation can submit their manuscripts online at www.ellechorpublishing.com and enter for a chance to begin their professional writing career, with the Grand Prize including a $1,500 cash advance signing bonus. Entries must be an unpublished work by a single author and only one submission per contestant.
