Entertainment Company Seeking Talented Vocalist in Phoenix Rising Talent Search
Online, April 1, 2012 (Newswire.com) - If you're a vocalist between the ages of 15 and 35 determined to pursue your dream of becoming a recording artist and performer, despite being derailed time and again by life's misfortunes and struggles, the Phoenix Rising New Recording Artist Search may be the answer to your prayers.
Created by Atlanta-based HJM Entertainment, LLC., parent company of Phoenix Rising Records, the Phoenix Rising New Recording Artist Search wants to offer the many music career hopefuls in Georgia, who know they have what it takes to be recording artists and performers, a chance to prove it. However, registrants must also be able to share real life struggles that they are fighting to overcome, in order to realize their dream.
"Not everyone will get the chance to audition for American Idol, The Voice or X Factor, yet they can still out sing many of the winners of those shows," says Helga J. Moore, an R&B/inspirational jazz singer, recording artist, founder/CEO of HJM Entertainment, LLC., and Phoenix Rising Records. "Among them are those whose lives have been thrown one major curve ball after another as they struggle to live their dream of becoming a recording artist, yet they don't ever stop pursuing it," she said. "The Phoenix Rising New Recording Artist Search wants to give those singers in particular, a chance to make their dreams a reality," she said.
The idea for the Search comes from Moore's own personal story. Despite having what some would consider life altering experiences like being sexually abused as a young girl, struggling with Lupus and other health issues since her late 20's, getting divorced and raising three children, including a son born with severe disabilities, Moore says she never gave up on her dream and still hasn't. That's why she started HJM Entertainment, but now, her dream is to help aspiring recording artists reach their goals.
"I know what it's like to have the tenacity to rise up out of the ashes of your life like a phoenix and push to live your dreams, because that was (is) me," says Moore, who recorded the critically acclaimed inspirational Jazz CD "Stronger," in 2007 and still performs at clubs and events across the nation whenever she gets the chance. "That's why the Phoenix Rising New Recording Artist Search is more than just a talent search," she explained.
"This Search is for a singer who not only has amazing talent, but who is hungry for the chance to live their dreams and is determined to work hard for it, but who may also be disenfranchised by life in some way," Moore explained. "That's a phoenix preparing to rise and HJM Entertainment wants to help bring them up and share their gift with the world."
Registrations for the Phoenix Rising New Recording Artist Search begin on April 1, 2012 and the deadline is May 30, 2012.
