"Fake Therapist" Arraigned/ Duff and Lyddy to attend
Online, April 12, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Norwalk, CT-April 12, 2010 - A press conference will be held on Wednesday April 14th at 9:30 AM, on the steps of State Superior Court 123 Hoyt St. Stamford CT, outside of the arraignment for "Fake Behavior Analyst" Stacy Lore. HB5425, "An Act Concerning individualized Education Program", is currently being considered by the Connecticut General Assembly and would have prevented this crime. As of today, there is no certification required to teach or deliver therapeutic services to children with Autism in Connecticut.
State Senator Bob Duff, who first heard and supported Stacy Lore victims, will be in attendance. State Representative Chris Lyddy, a supporter of current legislation, will be present. State Attorney General Richard Blumenthal has been instrumental in bringing this case to fruition and raised HB5425, has issued a statement that will be read. Suzanne Letso, Founder and CEO of Connecticut Center for Child Development (CCCD) and the person who has been leading advocacy efforts for HB5425, will be in attendance. Marryann Lombardi, of the Connecticut Council on Developmental Disabilities and a supporter of this legislation, will be available. Kimberly Graham, Parent Leader and mother of a son with Autism who was victimized by Stacy Lore, will welcome questions.
