Forever Events Explains How Couples Can Stay Relaxed on Their Wedding Day

For those couples that are worried about their big day, know that the wedding planner has everything covered. After months, and sometimes years of planning, the sudden arrival of a wedding day can bring nerves to even the most prepared couples. So here are some tips on how to enjoy the big day, after all, the planning is complete and at a certain point, it is important for the wedding party to relax and enjoy their day.

1. Have a Relaxing Day and Get an Early Night the Night Before

It is always best to get all the big-ticket to-do list items completed at least three days before the wedding so that couples have plenty of time to relax. For instance, plan a night of total relaxation before the big day. Brides might opt for mani-pedis with their bridesmaids or just a calm, early-evening meal.

2. Make Preparations Somewhere Comfortable

Even if the bridal couple is at a destination wedding, it's important for brides to get ready in a calm, collected atmosphere. "The nerves are high enough for the wedding day, so it's important for brides to have only their close confidants near them as they get ready. It's the proverbial calm before the storm," remarked Lisi Korn, a wedding planner in Miami and celebrity wedding planner for Forever Events, an event planning company.

3. Have Morning Food Preparations All Set

An often refrain heard by couples is that they are so excited that they forget to eat. With all the energy expended on the wedding day, it's important for everyone to be properly nourished before the day gets going. A great way to start the big day is by having a variety of finger foods available if the prospect of eating a full meal is too daunting.

4. Be Ready to Go Before Schedule

Sometimes the best advice is to be ready and prepared a little earlier, just in case. Brides can relax with a glass of champagne or a light snack without feeling rushed out of the door. It is also a way to deal with any unexpected delays that may arise.

5. Make a Slow Entrance

Brides should allow themselves to savor the wedding entrance moment. Friends and family of the wedding couple are all there to celebrate with them, and this is one moment that will be cherished for years to come - so the best advice is to not rush anything.
