Frier Levitt Names John Morrone Equity Partner

NEW YORK, September 25, 2019 (Newswire.com) - The boutique Healthcare law firm of Frier Levitt announced today the promotion of John Morrone, Esq. to Equity Partner status.

Mr. Morrone has also been named Chair of the firm’s Life Sciences Regulatory Practice Group and Co-Chair of the firm’s Healthcare Group, along with co-founding partner, Daniel Frier. Mr. Morrone is the Managing Partner of the firm’s New York City and Long Island offices.

Mr. Morrone’s tenure with the firm began more than a decade ago, having joined the firm directly after a clerkship with a United States Magistrate. As one of the firm’s multiple clinician-attorneys, Mr. Morrone is a practicing critical care paramedic and registered nurse currently employed part-time by a prestigious New York hospital system. Mr. Morrone advises Healthcare and Life Sciences stakeholders, including drug manufacturers, distributors, medical practices, surgical centers, and pharmacies, on innovative business models, legal compliance and contracting. He has handled numerous federal and state healthcare investigations, self-disclosures, and civil investigation. Mr. Morrone’s practical business experience before law school as an executive with a publicly-traded company and his hands-on experience as an attorney makes him perfectly suited to his new roles with the firm. 

The New York native received his law degree with a concentration in health law from Seton Hall School of Law. Mr. Morrone holds an MBA in healthcare from Baruch College/Mount Sinai Medical School, a biomedical engineer degree from the New York Institute of Technology, as well as degrees in nursing, marketing, and public relations.
