GEO I/O Expands Big Data Services And Becomes NetImpact
Online, May 7, 2012 (Newswire.com) - DaaS provider, GEO I/O, maker of IP/location-based APIs, announces today that they are expanding their services and becoming NetImpact, an innovative company that takes the most complicated and complex data sets and serves them up in an easy to use/easy to understand real-time format.
NetImpact reaches beyond GEO I/O's location-based APIs that resolve IP addresses to geolocation, zip code, postal code, area code, and latitude/longitude coordinates. With NetImpact, data sets are expanded into a variety of big data APIs for every developer that is looking to develop further. NetImpact's mission is to provide real-time, big data in a super easy format to fuel a serious developer's "next big idea." This makes NetImpact services a natural migration path for Parse, Factual, Infochimps, Apigee and past SimpleGEO users in need of a high-quality geo location API service.
GEO I/O was built in 2009, and has seen tremendous traction in the location-based API space. With more than 4,300 users on the GEO I/O services platform, its model and the level of customer feedback, along with continual requests to push into bigger data, more features and greater functionality, proved it was ready to be scaled. As NetImpact, there is no longer the limitation of being only an IP-to-Location API.
NetImpact offers free accounts with up to 250 queries per day. Paid accounts start at $99 per month for up to 1000 queries per day, with various plans scaling up from there. Users may choose either a Flex Plan, which does not cap API queries per day, or a Capped Plan, which shuts off after the daily query limit is reached. Users have full control to switch plans as necessary. There are no contracts or minimum commitment terms. All plans are month-to-month.
NetImpact is pioneering a path into DaaS (Data-as-a-Service) by carving the way for developers to gain instant access to back end data so their mobile, Web, Android or iOS apps can shine on the front end. To learn more, visit http://www.NetImpact.com.
