New York, NY, March 3, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Filmmaker/Actress Crystal Faith Scott has announced her latest production, "Girl Clown" the feature film, based on her award-winning short film.
“Girl Clown” is the story of a mousy secretary, Laura, who attempts to overcome her shyness and find true love by becoming a professional clown. It features a cast of colorful characters, and is is based on Scott's personal experiences of overcoming shyness and becoming a clown in NYC.
"The script is quirky, charming and funny, and is also very much a joyful story."

Described in reviews as “a smart, engaging film,” “a ray of sunshine,” and “sweet, playful, and enchanting,” “Girl Clown" the short film played 13 film festivals, won awards including "Best Short" and "Best Actress", was a monthly selection of the Stephen Simon's Gaiam Cinema Circle, was featured in the pop culture book "Hello Cutie", and can now be watched on the streaming website IndieFlix.
The full-length version of "Girl Clown" expands on the romance between the two main characters Looney Larry and Laura, who are both shy, and who feel much more comfortable in their costumes than as themselves. They both secretly have a crush on each other, but their need to hide behind their costumes makes dating, and possibly falling in love, very challenging.
"The script is quirky, charming and funny", says Scott," and is also very much a joyful story. After watching the short film, people often tell me that it made them feel happy. I'm glad. I think we can use more happiness in the world."
