Glenwood Alzheimer's Special Care Center Administers First COVID-19 Inoculations

DUBLIN, Ohio, January 12, 2021 (Newswire.com) - On Jan. 11, the residents and employees at our Glenwood Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Dublin, OH celebrated a monumental milestone when the first COVID-19 vaccines were administered at the JEA Senior Living COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic. These first inoculations will be followed up in three weeks with the second dose to complete the series. Throughout the day, as vaccines were administered, an overwhelming wave of hope and joy filled the clinic.

These vaccines, which are +95% effective, are the best weapon we have against this deadly virus. JEA has launched an educational campaign to help inform our residents, families and staff on the benefits and risks associated with the vaccine.  

Similar vaccine clinics are being held in each of JEA's communities with the hope of immunizing as many residents and staff as clinically appropriate.
