Gold Standard of Care Successfully Completes Its Seniors Housing Fire Safety Implementation Project I City of West Palm Beach

Safety first for West Palm Beach Seniors!

Gold Standard of Care is pleased to announce the long-awaited completion of the fire safety implementation thanks to the support and procuring of funds from the City of West Palm Beach.

Further enhancing the outstanding safety features for seniors living in the beautiful historic building located in downtown West Palm Beach, the fire safety implementation features a brand new, enclosed emergency stairwell for a fast and easy exit in the case of any emergency.

We're very pleased to see the completion of what's been a three-year project in the making. Our elders are safer than ever within this historically charming building that has served as home to West Palm Beach seniors for over 40 years.

A. Peters, Community Relations

Gold Standard of Care’s founder, Mr. Michael Verbitsky said, “It’s been a long road and we’re glad to have had the support of so many good people in this fine city where we’ve strived to keep an affordable program for the city’s seniors amidst booming downtown developments.”

“None of this would’ve been done without the tremendous help and support from city officials, such as Jeff Greene, West Palm Beach’s city manager, and Mayor Jeri Muoio with her team. Their support and procuring of funds allowed Gold Standard of Care to complete this project for the safety of the housing community for the City’s cherished seniors,” said Verbitsky.

The site, which sits at the main artery of downtown West Palm Beach, connecting Rosemary Street and Clematis, is now home to Brightline’s Palm Beach County station connecting transit from Miami to Orlando.

Managing the four-story, diversely populated assisted living facility is “Colonial Assisted Living of West Palm Beach.” Its founder, Ricki Kaneti has been instrumental in providing exceptional and compassionate care for 170 seniors at the downtown West Palm Beach assisted living facility.

“We’re very pleased to see the completion of what’s been a three-year project in the making. Our elders are safer than ever within the historically charming building that has served as home to West Palm Beach seniors for over 40 years.”
