GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi Receives Mississippi Delta National Heritage Area Grant
Funds Will Help the Museum's Summer Camp Program Inspire and Cultivate the Next Generation of Music Innovators
CLEVELAND, Miss., September 7, 2018 (Newswire.com) - GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi has been awarded a $22,550 grant from the Mississippi Delta National Heritage Area (MDNHA). The MDNHA grants program provides strategic investments in programs, projects and activities that help preserve, enhance, interpret and promote the uniqueness of the cultural and heritage experience within the Mississippi Delta.

The Mississippi Delta National Heritage Area fosters preservation, perpetuation and celebration of the Delta’s heritage through a climate of collaboration and sustainable economic development.
Through a comprehensive and continual system of engagement and education, the Mississippi Delta National Heritage Area leads an inclusive network of partners, institutions and residents in achieving a regional vision.
Led by Dr. Rolando Herts, director of The Delta Center for Culture and Learning at Delta State University, the MDNHA includes 18 counties that contain land located in the alluvial floodplain of the Mississippi Delta: Bolivar, Carroll, Coahoma, DeSoto, Holmes, Humphreys, Issaquena, Leflore, Panola, Quitman, Sharkey, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tunica, Warren, Washington and Yazoo.
