Griffle TV Posts Live Music Video Set for Underground Indie Music Veterans "Poison Control Center"
Online, August 18, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Griffle TV (www.griffle.com) announced today that it has completed the YouTube posting of seventeen live music videos for the popular indie band "Poison Control Center" (PCC; www.youtube.com/griffletv). Renowned for the extremely animated and creative live shows, PCC was the perfect subject for Griffle TV's innovative approach to marketing and promoting indie music.
PCC recently completed their CD entitled, "Sad Sour Future" and have embarked on the "NEVER ENDING TOUR" with the goal of playing two-hundred fifty shows in a year's time. Rumor has it that they will exceed three-hundred shows in that time, and complete another CD before the end of the year.
"These guys are incredible", says Justin McManus, president of Griffle TV's parent company, Hello Holdings, Inc. "They have played with some name bands like Flaming Lips and Public Enemy, and are on a clear trajectory to stardom. Sad Sour Future has received accolades from a host of critics and is described by Slant Magazine as 'Poison Control Center's White Album' ".
YouTube live shows captured by Griffle TV's roving audio/video team are professionally mixed and mastered by world class engineer Chad Jacobsen and launched on YouTube at a rate of approximately one song per day. Eric Henderson, company chairman, said, "We are rapidly creating a unique and valuable database of high quality indie music video content. Our mission is to use this content to help indie musicians achieve the highest level of success possible". When asked if their model for indie music promotion and marketing was working Justin replied with a wry smile, "With over 30,000 views in the first month, and no overt advertising, I'd say we are on to something"
