Hella India Lighting Ltd, the 100% wholly-owned subsidiary of one of the world’s leading automotive supplier HELLA KGaA Hueck & Co, has been awarded “CV Award for Auto Component of the Year” by Apollo-CV awards. The Seventh edition of the Apollo CV Awards was held at the ITC Grand Central, Mumbai on 21st January 2016.  The Apollo CV Awards are considered the most prestigious awards in the commercial vehicle (CV) business that recognize superlative efforts of CV makers, ancillary suppliers, application developers and Fleet operators.

A jury made up of experts internal and external to CV magazine evaluated products and companies and arrived at winners. Organizations were evaluated based on seven criteria – leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, measurement analysis, knowledge management, workforce focus and process management.

In addition, Hella was also part of  a panel discussion with experts in the auto industry to discuss “Technology & Innovation in the CV sector”.

The touch points of the discussion were mainly focusing on recent announcement of Regulatory changes, on the need of Global to local approach for tech and innovation and also Going local to global in the case of frugal engineering and technology. An interesting discussion also covered Technology and innovation to address the growing demand for comfort and safety for our CV Drivers, to consider it as a better career to fight the growing skill gap in our Industry, by providing them world’s safest environment.

Recently in last year, Hella India Lighting Ltd. also won the ISOL trophy for “Excellence in Automotive Lighting Technology” by ICAT, and Silver Trophy in Large category for Quality & Productivity by ACMA.
