Helping Avert the HIV/AIDS Pandemic on Human Development in India
Online, March 5, 2010 (Newswire.com) - The Avert Society Project has been created to support the Government of India reduce the negative impact of the HIV/AIDS pandemic on the social, economic and human development in India. This goal is in accordance with the NACP-II dual goals of reducing the spread of HIV infection in the country and strengthening the country's response to HIV/AIDS on a long-term basis.
Strategically, Avert plans to achieve this through increased use of effective and sustainable responses. Thereby reducing transmission and mitigating the impact of HIV/AIDS/STD and related infectious diseases in the state. Currenty Avert projects are being implemented in 7 priority districts, namely Mumbai, Thane, Sangli, Satara, Aurangabad, Nagpur and Solapur.
To empower the Avert Project efforts in the online space, the organization has selected D'zine, through a strict tender process. Team D'zine is now crackling with ideas to ensure the online experience with Avert's new website, will more than match what the organization is engaged in on ground.
